Q: Does the agent take into consideration the player's current salary during the negotiation?
A: No, the agent does not take into consideration the player's current salary.
Q: What happens if a T3 from my team that I want to sign during the season has an option year to his contract?
A: If the current contract includes a team option, the latter does not matter and it will be replaced by the new contract, if necessary. In the case of a player option, the value of the new offer must be higher than the value of the current option year; otherwise, the player will decline the offer and will prefer using his option.
Q: If I offer a new contract to a player with an option year and that he declines it, is the option year sill valid to his current contract?
A: Yes, if a player declines a new contract, the current contract stays intact, so it keeps the option year that is included.
Q: What happens when a T3 from my team answers that he will test the free-agent market after I made him an offer during the season?
A: You will not be able to make an offer to the player, except when it's time to sign Type 3 free agents available to everybody, which means that you will have competition to sign the player, but you will keep the advantage because of the player's loyalty when you make your offer.
Q: Is there a maximum of offers that I can make during the regular season to our T3 players?
A: Yes, a maximum of 2 offers can be sent from the pre-season to the end of the regular season.
Q: If a player accepts my contract offer, when does the offer come into effect?
A: Contract renewals come into effect the following season. The current contract remains valid until the end of the season.
Q: What happens if I trade a player to whom I made a contract renewal offer to another team?
A: When a player is traded, the number of offers that he has received is reduced by 1. So, if you had made an offer to the player, once the player joins his new team, the number of offers is reduced by 1 and falls to 0, which allows the GM who has acquired the player to increase his odds of signing him in turn during the season.
Q: Does a traded player reduce the number of offers he has received each time he is traded?
A: No, the number of received offers can only be reduced once after being traded. If he is traded again, he is not eligible anymore to see the number of offers he has received reduced.
Q: Can I know how many offers a player has received before acquiring him via trade?
Yes, this information is displayed on the player's page. The number of offers he has received until now is indicated, and if he is eligible to see his number of offers reduced if he is traded.
Q: Can I know the next contract of a player whose contract has been renewed?
A: Yes, the player's future contract is displayed on the player's page.
Q: Can I trade a player from my team who has had his contract renewed during the season?
A: Yes, there is no non-movement clause following a Type 3 free agent signing from our team.
Q: Do I have as many odds of signing my players during the season as if I wait until it's time to sign my team's T3s?
A: The best odds of signing a Type 3 free agent from your team are to wait until it's time to sign your team's T3s, that is 50%. However, if you make one or two offers during the season, the odds will still be excellent and almost at 50%.
Q: Will there be more or less free agents available when it's time to sign Type 3 free agents available to everybody?
A: There will be roughly the same amount of free agents than in the past because even if the odds are slightly lower of signing them during the season (2-3%), this factor is compensated by the fact that a traded player can receive an additional offer during the season.
Q: What happens if I send an insufficient offer?
A: The player will decline the offer and you will not be able to send offers to the player, except when it's time to sign Type 3 free agents available to everybody.
Q: In real evolution when determining the value of the offer to send, do I use the player's maximum potential of his current attributes or those displayed in the Future Players section?
A: You need to use the player's current attributes to make your offer, the maximum PO that the player can reach over the length of the new contract, and not over the player's attributes to come.
Q: Considering that players ask for 10% more if I make an offer during the season, do I have to calculate this 10% myself from the values of the contract value table?
A: No, the contract value table is automatically updated depending at which step you are, so you can still rely on this table to prepare your offers.
A: No, the agent does not take into consideration the player's current salary.
