Albany Devils Mike Sislo AHL Player Of The Month
As other Albany Devils players Joseph Blandisi, Reid Boucher and Seth Helgeson have been called up to the parent club New Jersey Devils, Mike Sislo has kept plugging away in the American Hockey League. The league has taken notice of Sislo’s exploits, naming the A-Devils forward the CCM/AHL Player of the Month of February.

From Feb. 6 to Feb. 28, Sislo tied a franchise mark with a ten-game point streak. During that span, Sislo potted nine tallies, including a pair with the extra attacker and two short-handed, including a game-winning marker at Rochester on Feb. 12. Sislo also added seven helpers, bringing his monthly point total to 16. Plus, Sislo recorded five multi point games.
Selected to the 2015-16 AHL All-Star at Syracuse, Sislo’s goal (26), assist (24) and point (50) totals are all career bests for the sixth year pro.
Sislo is the first player in A-Devils franchise history to earn the award.
He’s also the first Albany player to be named player of the month since Jerome Samson was bestowed the honor in March of 2010, with the Carolina Hurricanes affiliated Albany River Rats.
