2015 NHL Draft: Boston Bruins Select Zach Sensyshyn
The Boston Bruins have selected Zach Senyshyn with the 15th overall pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
Senyshyn out of the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds is a big time off-the-board pick for the Bruins. Senyshyn has great speed, and he has great upside. He finished with 45 points in 66 games, but the big stat that stands out to me is the plus 30 rating. Sure, the Greyhounds were a great team in the QMJHL, but with a couple more years developing down in junior, he could turn into a great prospect for the Bruins down the road.
The Boston Bruins acquired the 15th overall pick in the first place from the Calgary Flames in exchange for Dougie Hamilton.
Boston will also receive the 45th pick, which is the Flames original pick, and they will also get the 52nd overall pick, which originally belonged to Washington before they traded it to the Flames in the Curtin Glencross deal.
The Bruins will also select 37th overall, which was the originally the Flyers pick, but was traded to the Bruins from the Islanders in the Jonny Boychuk trade before the season started.
In rounds three through seven the Bruins will select in their usual positions, which stand at 74th, 104th, 134th, 164th, and 194th overall.
