Juulsen Given Three Year Contract With Habs
The Montreal Canadiens have given first-round pick Noah Juulsen a three year, entry level contract. The 18 year old is currently at the Habs development camp.
Juulsen is a solid two-way defenseman. He can play both ends of the ice and supports his Everett Silvertips teammates well. While he isn’t a dynamic skater (yet), the third highest scoring defenseman in the WHL can be mobile when he needs to be. He isn’t afraid to take some hits, sees the ice well and has the individual skills to carry out the possibilities he sees. He is also great when it comes to puck possession and is able to control the play with authority, despite sometimes overthinking things and making moves too fast. Overall, Juulsen is the kind of offensive defenseman the Habs can really use.
