Habs Agree To Terms With Bournival On One Year Contract

The Montreal Canadiens have agreed to a one year, two-way contract contract worth $600,000 for 23 year old left-winger, Michael Bournival.

Bournival played 29 games with the Habs during the 2014-15 season, where he recorded five points (three goals, two assists), as well as posting a differential of plus three, grabbing four penalty minutes, and recording 27 shots on goal.

Back on June 21st, it was reported that the Habs were giving a two-way offer to Bournival, whose days at the Bell Centre were cut short when he was sent back to the AHL after his 29 games so the team could not only make room for the more experienced depth players, but also because of the fact that it was later revealed that he had suffered a concussion late in the season that forced him to step off the ice and on to the disabled list in the AHL with the Hamilton Bulldogs. Bournival was ready to review his offer with the team at the opening of training camp in Brossard in September, but it’s clear that GM Marc Bergevin and Bournival couldn’t wait.
