The Boston Bruins and New Jersey Devils have made a deal that sends Lee Stempniak to Boston.
The Boston Bruins, have managed to pull off a number of last-minute deals right before the 3:00 pm EST deadline. This time, the Bruins have gained a 33-year-old forward that hasn’t had much stability in his career.
In 63 games this season with the Devils, Stempniak has garnered 16 goals and 25 assists to his credit.
In 771 games, he’s managed to score 181 career goals and 229 assists with the St. Louis Blues, Phoenix Coyotes, Toronto Maple Leafs, Calgary Flames, Winnipeg Jets, Devils and New York Rangers.
The Devils, in return, will receive two picks from the Bruins, second and fourth round selections.

Stempniak attended this year’s Devils camp on a tryout, and managed to earn himself a one-year deal worth $850,000.

This is the third-straight trade deadline that Stempniak has been moved. During the 2013-14 trade deadline, Winnipeg traded for a third-round draft pick from Pittsburgh that sent him to the Penguins before moving to the New York Rangers in July of 2014.
However, the Rangers traded Stempniak to the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for Carl Klingberg.
Also going to the Bruins is John Michael Liles.
