QOs for Gaudet & Fournier:
Gaudet 1 yr two-way @ $874,125, $70,000 AHL
Fournier 1 yr two-way @ $632,500, $62,500 AHL https://t.co/dpDaUyurWF— General Fanager (@generalfanager) July 15, 2016
The deal will pay him $874,125 in the NHL and $70,000 in the AHL this upcoming season.
Gaudet skated in 14 games with the Coyotes last season, tallying three points with a minus-two rating.
Since turning pro in 2014, the Hamilton, Ontario native has logged 12 goals and 33 total points with Arizona’s AHL affiliate. He broke out as a prospect during the 2013-14 season with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in the Ontario Hockey League, finishing the season with 61 points and a plus-25 rating in 65 games and eight points in nine playoff games.
Tyler Gaudet will likely start the 2016-17 season in the AHL, but he should be amongst the top call-up options for the team going forward. He has been a serviceable option for the ‘Yotes in the past due to his two-way reliability and physical play. The versatile winger stands at 6-foot-3, 205 pounds.
The Arizona Coyotes signed Gaudet as an undrafted free agent on November 4, 2013.
