NCAA FrozenFour: Watch the Most Amazing Empty-Net Save you will ever see
Watch Miami (OH) defenseman Louie Belpedio’s ridiculous effort to keep the puck out of the net that has since gone Viral amongst the online hockey communities. He allowed his team to fight another day (another 58 seconds actually) as they had the goalie pulled in hopes of tying a wild back-and-forth game at 6.
He’s hot on the puck’s trail, and catches up to it just in time to lunge with a passionate swing off the post, before crashing HARD into the end boards and being forced to crawl to the bench in survival mode.
While this year’s Frozen Four has already given us a whole bunch of highlights, but this one has to be the best. This is the epitome of why fans who only watch NHL hockey are missing out on great junior moments everywhere. When was the last time you saw an NHL player dive like that to save a goal?
