Flyers Give Chris Porter 2-Way Deal
The Philadelphia Flyers have signed fourth line forward Chris Porter to a one-year contract, the team announced on Saturday. The contract is a two-way deal, according to TSN’s Frank Seravalli.
The 31-year-old played 24 games for the St. Louis Blues last season, posting one goal and one assist. Porter played an additional three games in the playoffs, contributing a single assist.
Over the course of six NHL seasons, Porter has played 173 games, all of them with a note on the sweater, scoring 11 goals and 16 assists. He was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft (9th round, 282nd overall).

The 6-foot-1 Toronto-native spent some of his developing years playing for the University of North Dakota, with three of his four season there being played under incoming Flyers head coach Dave Hakstol.
