Alex Galchenyuk out Indefinitely
The Canadiens announced today that centre Alex Galchenyuk will be out “indefinitely” after sustaining a lower body injury against the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday. Galchenyuk underwent medical testing in St. Louis on Monday.
The 22 year-old centre appeared to sustain the injury after an accidental knee on knee collision with Kings captain Anze Kopitar.
Galchenyuk leads the Canadiens in points (23) and goals (9). Montreal’s next game is Tuesday in St. Louis.
