David Desharnais Injured Against St. Louis
The hurting Habs continue to pile on the injures.
Tuesday night, David Desharnais was taken hard into the boards by Jay Bouwmeester. Desharnais, the team’s de-facto number one center in the absence of Alex Galchenyuk, appeared to injury his knee in the collision.

After a few minutes, the Canadiens made it official. Desharnais would not return due to a lower body injury.

The Canadiens are now down to two natural centers, as Tomas Plekanec and Torrey Mitchell are the last men standing. According to Cap Friendly, the Habs have one roster space available at the moment, but that could increase if and when Galchenyuk and Desharnais are put on the injured reserve. At that time, expect a few call-ups from St. John’s.
