Jackets Extend John Ramage
The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed 25-year-old defenseman John Ramage to a two-year, two-way contract extension, the club announced Tuesday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Through 49 AHL games with Cleveland’s Lake Erie Monsters this season he’s set career-high marks in goals (6) and points (16). Both of those marks rank second among Cleveland defenders.
Ramage grabbed a one-year, two-way contract with Columbus in July, coming from the Calgary Flames organization where he played one NHL game last season. Despite blue line issues in Columbus, Ramage hasn’t made an appearance at the NHL level this season.
With the Adirondack Flames last season, Ramage posted three goals and 12 assists in 57 games.
