Websim Hockey is celebrating its ten years!
Relive the defining moments of the history of this unique simulated hockey game.
THE BIG LAUNCH
2009-2012
July 2nd, 2009 — After four years of development, testing and refinement behind the scenes, WebSim Hockey is unveiled for the first time to the general public, on Québec 800's radio frequency.
The success following the launch is unquestionable! Leagues increase in number and at the end of the year 2009, more than 100 leagues already use the WebSim Hockey simulator.
WSH 2.0 - THE BIRTH OF A COMMUNITY
2013-2014
After gathering a large quantity of virtual general managers, it had become a priority that all these people could communicate and manage their teams more efficiently.
As a result, from Spring 2013 to the beginning of 2014, we deployed the new version of the game, WebSim Hockey 2.0.
A messaging service, a live chat, and a news feed were at the heart of the new features that allowed for the creation of a very committed and supportive community.
WEBSIM 3 ON THE HORIZON
2015-2019
Since then, the game found great stability, but we also know that you look forward to taking advantage of the long-awaited new features.
Today, we are very happy to announce the arrival of WebSim 3 in 2019, which is the result of years of data collection, analyses, and hard work to give you the best simulated hockey game that you deserve so much.
Look for the announcements to come, while we progressively introduce you the details of the first features that will be available with the arrival of WebSim 3.
THE PIONEERS
2009-2019
2019 marks the 10th anniversary of the game's launch, and there were almost 200 GMs who were there in 2009 who are still faithful today!
From all the WebSim community, thank you to the passionate GMs who will celebrate their ten years of seasoned management of their virtual teams.
