Mike McCarron scores 4 points including backhand Spin-O-Rama in OHL Playoffs
Habs Prospect Mike McCarron has got his name in the news again, most recently for a Gordie Howe hat-trick in Round 1 vs Peterborough. This time, he notched 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists) in a second round match up vs Niagara in the OHL playoffs.
Big Mac has very impressive hands in tight for a big man, not to mention his fluid skating and fearlessness to throw his 237 pounds around. Canadiens fans will love him upon his nearing arrival in Montreal.
The best part of this video may be teammate Michael Dal Colle falling like he hit a brick wall when running into McCarron on his first goal (backhand spin-o-rama). It makes you think Dal Colle is a small guy…he isn’t. He’s 6’2 190 pounds at only 18 years of age. Dal Colle was the New York Islanders 5th overall pick in last year’s NHL Entry Draft and his size was a major factor in that ranking.
